IR-Key v4.0 is out! Added features for building official ROM and installing via custom recovery
Release Notes:
Creating original ROM and installation of ROM via custom recovery
Advantages:
- No damages to the handset
- Upgrade to the latest version of the official ROM
- Runs on all phones of all the brands
- Ability to choose your preferable ROM
- No changes to the radio and Hboot
Requirements:
- Installation of custom recovery
- Needs the boot loader to Unlock the phone
Methods:
- Backup:
- Select the device installed on your preferable ROM
- Select an SD card (at least 1GB) and format, then insert it into the phone
- Get into the recovery menu.
- Select "Backup & Restore"
- Backup your phone (File folder located in this path: /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/Name_of_the_nondbackup_folder)
- Copy the CWM folder and save it on hard drive
- Restore:
- SD Card with ROM folder should be on the phone
- Get into the recovery menu
- Connect USB cable to the phone
- Go to the CWM
- Choose the Backup File option (it creates MD5 file)
- Select "Backup & Restore"
- Select Restore option
- Install folder on the phone (Build-ROM device should be installed without error message)
How to download:
- Open IR-Key 4.0 Software
- Click on Update
- Click on Update IR-Key
- Wait for software to check for updates
- Mark all the files and click on download
- Click on Update
- Restart the software
